The Anti-Leprosy Campaign announced yesterday that there had been a spike in cases among children.Director General of the Campaign Dr. Prasad Ranaweera said about 250 child cases had been reported last year.
“Around 2000 cases are reported each year. However, there was a drop in the last few years. In 2021, we saw 1036 cases. This year, the cases among adults were around 800,” he said.
