Over 13,000 families in the Anuradhapura District are facing severe food insecurity issues. This was revealed at a recent meeting of the North-Central Province planning committee on food security.
More than 900 children in the Anuradhapura District, are suffering from malnutrition.The meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Governor of the Province Maheepala Herath.
Director of planning in the District Sugath Nayananda said that 13,597 families were facing food insecurity. (RK)
