The media was not allowed to cover the magisterial inquiry into the death of Dinesh Schaffter. Family and relatives of the late Janashakthi Director, Schaffter had requested that the inquiry be held in camera.
The widow of Schaffter, and a person who served under Schaffter gave evidence before Colombo Additional Magistrate, Rajindra Jayasuriya in the Magistrate’s chamber.
Further magisterial inquiry was fixed for 10 January.
About 90 statements have been recorded so far, but no breakthrough has been made so far.
