First Capital SSC Open Tennis Championships
Former champion Shamal Dissanayake and Bishop’s College player Saajida Razick won the Arjun Fernando and Sriya Munasinghe Challenge Trophies respectively as they won the men’s and women’s singles finals of the First Capital SSC Open Tennis Championships in Colombo on Sunday.
Dissanayake beat Chathurya Nilaweera 6-4, 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 to win the men’s singles final.
In the women’s singles final Saajida Razick edged out Neyara Weerawansa 6-3, 6-4 to clinch the title.
