Sri Lanka has the second highest electricity prices in Asia, energy expert Dr. Tilak Siyambalapitiya said at an event, organied by the Sri Lanka Institute of Engineering – Northwest Branch, and the Ceylon Electricity Board Engineers Union, He said Sri Lanka was also not doing what it had to do to come out of the energy crisis.
Siyambalapitiya said that 500 megawatts of electricity were generated from thermal energy. (RK)
