Education Minister Susil Premajayantha

The government would recruit as many as 8,000 new teachers in 2023 to enhance the level of education at the provincial level and to fill vacancies in the cadre, especially due to raising the retirement age to 60, from this December, Education Minister Susil Premajayantha said.

Minister Premajayantha mentioned that 8,000 teachers would retire in 2023 and these vacancies had to be filled.
