Thico controversy: DC issues enjoining order against YouTube Channel over posting of defamatory videos

Colombo District Court Judge Purnima Paranagamage, on Monday, issued an enjoining order against the owners and operators of a YouTube channel, preventing them from posting defamatory videos on Chairperson of Thico Group of Companies Thilini Priyamali, who is now currently being held on remand for allegedly defrauding Rs. 1.28 billion.

The enjoining order was issued against R. A. M. P. Rathnayake and W.D. Dananjaya Naranbadda, owners and operators of the YouTube Channel ‘Life Traveller’.
