Public Security Minister Tiran Alles yesterday (22) said stern action would be taken against anyone who sought to exploit the recent demolition of some estate houses to create trouble.
The Public Security Ministry has issued that warning in a statement issued to the media in the wake of Tamil Progressive Alliance (TPA) leader Mano Ganesan’s declaration that the people reserved the right to retaliate in case the government failed to guarantee their security.
Minister Alles urged the plantation community not to be deceived by such provocative statements. The SLPP National List MP alleged that interested parties were playing politics to attract voters, regardless of consequences.
