A British style Trooping of the Colour Military Parade was deployed by ‘King’ MCDT in Washington on his birthday on 14th June among a series of anti-trump demonstrations. It hasn’t been a secret that Trump has revealed his aspiration to make the Whitehouse as his permanent residence by whatever means.
He never hides his sinister scheme to dismantle democracy.
Yesterday’s demonstrations across the nation in favor of democracy and against Trump’s dictatorship revealed the power of the people. I am not sure if he has the capacity to understand that; the marauding will not cease. Remember Jack Lemon as Professor Fate in the movie Great Race? He never gave up his pursuit to defeat Tony Curtis at whatever cost despite failure on every trickery he deployed.
The energy, exuberance, and solidarity of those demonstrations stood in sharp contrast to Trump’s noxious display of tanks and military equipment on Constitution Avenue in Washington, D.C. While Trump continues to politicize the military, hundreds of thousands of us are saying no to his usurpation of power that belongs to the people.
Perhaps most fundamentally of all, the malignant narcissism of Trump has helped us understand the opposite — the true meaning of patriotism and the common good.
Patriotism based on the common good does not pander to divisiveness. It does not vilify diversity, equity, and inclusion. True patriots don’t fuel racist or religious or ethnic divisions. They aren’t homophobic or transphobic or sexist.
True patriots confirm the good that we have in common. They seek to strengthen and celebrate the “We” in “We the people.”
Trump is the opposite of a patriot. He is a traitor and a coward. His lust for power and wealth at the expense of the common good makes this one of the most shameful chapters of our history.
Yesterday we reasserted “We.” We did it largely peacefully. We gained strength from our solidarity. We celebrated of our numbers and our power.
First he said in public in front of the camera in 2016 that he would never accept the election results unless he won. Hilary Clinton had 4 million popular votes more than Trump yet he won (by whatever means). The question of Voting machine fiddle was not raised at that time. In 2020 election Joe Biden won but Trump objected, citing voting machine fiddle. He refused to accept the result despite 60 court cases rulings of the integrity of the election result. He tried to invoke an illegal insurrection on the 6th January 2021 but failed, courtesy of the action of the Vice president Mike Pence. In 2024 Trump ensured victory (by whatever means). Once he entered the Whitehouse he set his long term plan in action. First ensured employing only ‘yes men’ in his administration; all of them would ask ‘how high’ when ordered to jump. Next, issued threats to lives of all Supreme Court Judges if they ruled any candid orders against Trump’s executive orders. Equal threats were issued to all GOP Senators. The next targets are the Democratic State Governors. Gavin Newson of Los Angeles was illegally castigated by Trump by bringing in the military to stop a peaceful local demonstration against the wishes of the State Administration.
Trump took a leaf out of Vladimir Putin’s book to follow the despicable pattern of replacing the State Governors by his supporters; the modus operandi of Dictatorship. His ego trips are facilitated by a handful of rich and powerful people with equally demented mindset. Chief among them is a lady called Ginny Thomas who is the wife of the Supreme Court Judge Clarence Thomas. Ginny is reported to the head of an Assassination Group (RAG), a part of the Proud Boys. If they don’t get their own way they issue threats of assassination. A simple nod and a wink from MCDT to Ginny would be sufficient to intimidate and send chill through their spine.
That is the present status quo in the MCDT admin in America
