கொழும்பு, கொள்ளுப்பிட்டி காலி வீதியில் மசாஜ் நிலையம் என்ற போர்வையில் நீண்டகாலமாக இயங்கி வந்த பாரிய விபச்சார விடுதி ஒன்றை பொலிஸார் சுற்றிவளைத்துள்ளனர்.
கொள்ளுப்பிட்டி பொலிஸ் நிலையப் பொறுப்பதிகாரிக்கு கிடைத்த இரகசிய தகவலின் அடிப்படையில் முன்னெடுக்கப்பட்ட இந்த அதிரடி சோதனையின் போது, மூன்று வெவ்வேறு நாடுகளைச் சேர்ந்த 10 வெளிநாட்டுப் பெண்கள் கைது செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளனர்.
கைது செய்யப்பட்ட பெண்களிடம் முன்னெடுக்கப்பட்ட சோதனையின் போது, ஒருவரிடமிருந்து சட்டவிரோதமான முறையில் நாட்டுக்குள் கொண்டுவரப்பட்ட வெளிநாட்டு சிகரெட்டுகளும் கைப்பற்றப்பட்டுள்ளன.
குறித்த விடுதியின் உரிமையாளர்கள் மற்றும் மேலாளர்கள் தொடர்பில் விசாரணைகள் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதுடன், கைது செய்யப்பட்ட பெண்கள் அனைவரும் நீதிமன்றில் முன்னிலைப்படுத்தப்பட உள்ளனர்.
கொள்ளுப்பிட்டி பொலிஸார் இது தொடர்பான மேலதிக சட்ட நடவடிக்கைகளைத் தீவிரப்படுத்தியுள்ளனர்.

Police Raid Fake Massage Parlor in Kollupitiya; 10 Foreign Women Arrested
Kollupitiya Police have busted a major prostitution ring operating under the guise of a massage parlor on Galle Road, Colombo. Acting on a tip-off received by the Officer-in-Charge (OIC), police conducted a tactical raid on the premises, resulting in the arrest of 10 foreign nationals from three different countries.
During the operation, authorities also discovered and seized a stock of illegally imported cigarettes from the possession of one of the suspects. The Kollupitiya Police are currently conducting extensive investigations into the establishment’s owners and the legality of the suspects’ travel documents.
