Karthik Raja is one of the youngest film music composers from the Chennai film industry in Tamil Nadu, South India. He is the eldest son of the famous composer Ilayaraaja.
He made his debut as a music composer in the Tamil movie, Alexander. He has worked with renowned Indian filmakers and producers including Amitabh Bachchan, Mani Ratnam, Jackie Shroff, Ajay Devgan, amongst others.
He graduated from the Prestigious St. Bede’s School in Chennai.
