Easter Sunday carnage: Church won’t accept Sirisena’s apology

The Catholic Church yesterday (31) declared that former President Maithripala Sirisena’s apology in respect of the 2019 Easter Sunday carnage was not acceptable at all.

A top spokesperson for the Church said that the former President’s apology was irrelevant. The spokesperson said so in response to MP Sirisena’s apology at an SLFP media briefing at the party headquarters where the Yahapalana President said that the Catholics didn’t hold a grudge against him.
