An Indoor Sports Shooting facility will be ceremonially opened at Sumeda Vidyalaya, Gampaha today. Dhammika Kulatunga, the Director of Sports of the Department of Education, Western Province, Upali Amaratunga, Deputy Director of Sports of the Ministry of Education, Anura Premalal, Director of Sports of the Gampaha Educational Zone, H.D.A.D. Manohara, Deputy Director of Sports of Gampaha Educational Zone and Principals of the area are scheduled to attend the opening ceremony today.
The former Deputy Inspector General of Police Gamini Walgama will be in charge of training school shooters at this facility where 12 shooters can train simultaneously.
