An ‘Adhisthana Pooja’ was performed at Dehiwela on Feb 4 to mark the 75th Independence Day celebrations under the leadership of Lion Panthaka Dabere, First Vice District Governor of the ‘International Lions Club 306 C I’ to invoke blessings on the country. The event held, according to a concept of Astronomer/Vidyakeerthi Anura C. Perera, was attended by the members of 16 Lions Clubs in the district, led by ‘Colombo Royalty Lions Club’.
