Personal Life
Bhavani Sre was born to G. Venkatesh and A. R. Reihana in Chennai on June 16, 1994. She is the sister of actor and composer GV Prakash and the niece of composer AR Rahman. She earned her degree in visual communication from a prestigious college in Chennai.
Career
Bhavani Sre began her professional acting career in the Telugu web series High Priestess on Zee5, after which she worked as an assistant director for different films. She was previously working for Tamil film production company Think Big Studios. She subsequently made her screen debut in a Tamil film, Virumandi’s Ka Pae Ranasingam, in which she co-starred with Aishwarya Rajesh as Vijay Sethupathi’s sister.
She appeared in the Sid Sriram-sung Tamil song “Po Po Yen Idhayam,” which ended up on K-fans’ favourite playlists. Bhavani Sre was approached by director Ananth Ram in 2020 to co-star in his 2021 movie “Nanban Oruvan Vandha Piragu,” which was scheduled for release. But the movie hasn’t been released yet because of production. She then got a crucial but brief part in Sudha Kongara’s anthology piece in Netflix’s Paava Kadhaigal, which helped her build a large fan base.
In 2023, Vetrimaaran’s Viduthalai made a significant career breakthrough in which she expertly performed her role as Paapa. Her ideal role in her career was in this movie, in which she costarred alongside Soori and Vijay Sethupathi.
