Soori is a well-known Indian actor and comedian who predominantly works in Tamil cinema. After making his screen debut in 1998 with uncredited roles, he rose to fame through the film Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu (2009), where his comic timing and the iconic “Parotta” eating scene earned him the nickname Parotta Soori. Known for his strong presence in comedy tracks, he became a staple in Tamil commercial cinema through the 2010s.

After years of excelling in comic roles in films like Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam, Rajini Murugan, Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran, and Jilla, Soori made a groundbreaking shift with his lead role in Viduthalai Part 1 (2023), directed by Vetrimaaran.
