Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana yesterday (05) announced in Parliament that Patali Champika Ranawaka (SJB) had also been nominated to the National Council.
The Speaker said that MP M. Rameshwaran had been nominated to the National Council to fill the vacancy that occurred due to the resignation of MP Jeevan Thondaman. The next meeting of the National Assembly is scheduled to be held today (06).
