Sanjan picks up seven wickets as St. Thomas’ take command

Pesandu Sanjan came up with a notable all-round feat to help St. Thomas’ Matara take command in their Under 19 traditional cricket encounter against Sri Devananda at Ambalangoda on Sunday. The 16-year-old Sanjana top scored with 80 runs for the visitors to reach 227 for eight wickets at stumps in reply to Sri Devananda’s 134 runs.

Batting first the home team collapsed against Sanjan’s spin as he took seven wickets for 35 runs. Enjoying a big first innings lead, St. Thomas’ will be vying to record an outright victory today.
