IT professionals leaving country

Around 10,000 IT professionals had left the country, Damith Hettihewa, President of Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL) tolf the media yesterday.Hettihewa said that they were leaving due to the current economic and political crisis.

“There is a high demand for IT professionals across the world. There is a digital transformation in the world,” he said.

Hettihewa added that 10 percent of IT professionals had left the country.

“Around 30 percent of IT professionals leave IT companies each month. There is a big turnover,” he said.
