Shesha shines for Lyceum

Shesha Umaya Rathnayake of Lyceum International School, Wattala won the Under 15 girls’ long jump with a feat of 5.31 metres to be adjudged the best long jumper at the recently held Sir John Tarbat Junior Athletics Championships. She was also the winner of the 100 metres in her age category and settled for the silver medal in the 200 metres. At the last All Island Schools Games she established a new meet record when she clocked 12.64 seconds to win the Under 16 girls’ 100 metres.
