The final stage competitions of the National Schools Netball Championships conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Netball Association commenced at the Albert F Peiris Stadium, Wennappuwa on Friday.
The premier schools netball championship sponsored by Nestle Lanka was the cradle for many national netball players. Yesterday, in a move to inspire the future national players, the sponsors felicitated the National Netball team, the winners of the Asian Netball Championships during the opening ceremony of the schools event. National players also took time to interact with schools players before the event started.
