Vindya Perera, Managing Director at Brilliant Cuts (Pvt) Ltd, a leader in the Lankan gem and jewellery industry, won the gold award for Best Women Exporter at the recently held 30th National Exports Awards, organized by the National Chamber of Exporters.
The gala event, which recognizes the invaluable services rendered by Sri Lankan exporters to boost the country’s economy, was held at Shangri La Hotel, Colombo and two of her companies, including Brilliant Cuts, received two bronze awards.
A certified gemologist at the National Gem and Jewellery Authority Sri Lanka who entered the world of gem and jewellery at a young age, Vindya has worked relentlessly over the years to empower the industry by showcasing the raw talent possessed by the novice lapidary artists. She has won a number of local and international awards for her innovative work.
