Prof. Charitha Herath, former Chairman of the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) has been dropped from the watchdog committee. Muszhaaraff, Nalin Bandara Jayamaha, S.M. Marikkar, Mujibur Rahuman, (Mrs.) Rohini Kumari Wijerathna, Sanjeeva Edirimanna, Jagath Kumara Sumithraarachchi, Premnath C. During his two-year tenure as the COPE Chief, lawmaker Herath handled several high profile cases, including Litro and the culpability of the Central Bank, Finance Ministry and the Monetary Board in the unprecedented financial meltdown.
