Vadivel Suresh resigns from all posts in SJB

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Vadivel Suresh yesterday announced that he would resign from all party posts.

Speaking to the media, he said he had resigned with effect from Thursday.

Suresh said SJB Leader Sajith Premadasa had not attended a rally he had organised at Madulsima, and that was the reason for his resignation. “It was a big event for us. Estate workers left work and came for the rally. We were told that Sajith Premadasa was not well.

However, then I saw, on Facebook, Sajith speaking at a rally in Welimada. I was shocked, and embarrassed. I decided to resign form all my posts within this party”, the MP said.
