The Ministry of Power and Energy has sought expressions of interest (EOIs) for the establishment of a petroleum refinery and associated products processing centre in Hambantota.
The Ministry has invited EOIs from eligible investors, consortiums or joint ventures to express their interest for the establishment of an export-oriented petroleum refinery and associated product processing centre in the Hambantota area on build, own, and operate (BOO) basis with the special emphasis on the feasibility of deployment of a viable business model using their own funds.
The Ministry of Power and Energy along with the Board of investment of Sri Lanka (BOI) will facilitate this venture.The Ministry of Power and Energy and the BOI has also published an advertisement for new suppliers of lubricants and greases for domestic and export markets.
