Seven Thousand Three Hundred and Forty Two (7342) National Education Diploma Holders from the 2018 – 2022 academic year were awarded teaching appointments on Friday (16). The letters of appointment were handed over by President Ranil Wickremesinghe at a ceremony held at Temple Trees.
Addressing the new appointees the President emphasized the government’s commitment to establishing an education system that extends beyond the year 2050. He recognized that human resources are vital for the country’s economic development and highlighted the teachers’ responsibility in preparing the future workforce.
